In the 20th and 21st centuries, Burt Ward was an actor best known for his portrayal of the superhero sidekick Robin. By 3013, he had been turned into a head in a jar on a robot body, and had been trapped in Mom's flying castle, where Mom conducts genetic experiments.
In 3013, Fry and Bender encountered the heads of Ward and Adam West while on their way to rescue Leela from the tower where she was being kept, and Bender told them to go about their business. [7ACV22] They looked out the window and had a conversation with Fry and Bender, who were climbing up the wall right in the way Batman and Robin would do it in the famous TV show [2] of the 1960's, in which every time they climbed up or down a wall, celebrities would have cameo appearances by looking out the window and having a short conversation with them.
Production
Burt Ward was first seen in a piece of concept art, released by Countdown to Futurama, in May 2013. [1]
